Rehabilitation of the school building

College des Soeurs des Saints Coeurs is a secondary level Catholic school located in Marjeyoun, South Lebanon. It was originally established in 1932 and its 60-member staff teaches 540 diverse students of all religious faiths from 32 villages.

Over the past years, various rehabilitation work had been executed to repair extensive damage, such as replacement of aluminum windows, and painting of halls and part of the facade. However, damage to internal and external staircases is leading to water leakage in the classrooms. Funds were raised by EOL to support the children's right to study in a healthy, safe environment.

Thanks to EOL, the school was able to not only replace the windows of the stairwells but also renew the old windows of 4 classrooms in the first floor of the Kindergarten section as well as renew windows throughout the building. This was able to reduce water and wind infiltration into the classrooms and thus reduce cost of heating, which is very expensive, and reduce sicknesses due to cold.
