EOL took a major step forward in its growth with a team visit in early January to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. EOL was invited by Mr. Richard Shadyac, Jr., President and CEO of the American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities (ALSAC), the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude. The organization rolled out a warm welcome to the EOL visitors. Several ALSAC leaders spent the day providing EOL with ideas on topics ranging from creating highly effective donor events to leveraging social media and video production for community awareness and fund raising. More importantly, St. Jude/ALSAC voiced their desire to continue working with EOL. The EOL participants were Mr. Paul Korkemaz, Chair of the St. Jude Collaboration, Ms. Karla Feghali, EOL Board Secretary and Social Media lead, Mr. Paul Feghali, St. Jude contact for Virginia Tech’s TKE Chapter, and Mr. Christopher Kennedy, CNEWA Development Officer.
